Measure your old ring first

Seal sizes vary by brand and by model year. Lay your old ring flat and measure the inside diameter and the thickness: it should be close to 3.234 in x 0.139 in. Old rings stretch or swell a little, so expect a small difference.

Wipe the groove clean and apply a thin film of silicone O-ring lubricant before fitting. Never use petroleum grease on a Buna-N ring.
