CFS replacement O-ring, Buna-N (nitrile) 70 durometer. Size AS568-435: 5.725 in ID x 0.275 in cross-section (145.42 mm x 6.99 mm), about 6.276 in (159.40 mm) outside diameter. Sold in packs of 2 rings.

• Compatible with Pentair U9-229 (also listed as 805-0436, O-218): Pentair, Sta-Rite and Waterway pump trap covers.

Measure your old ring first

Seal sizes vary by brand and by model year. Lay your old ring flat and measure the inside diameter and the thickness: it should be close to 5.725 in x 0.275 in. Old rings stretch or swell a little, so expect a small difference.

Wipe the groove clean and apply a thin film of silicone O-ring lubricant before fitting. Never use petroleum grease on a Buna-N ring.

Buna-N is the standard material for pump lids, unions, valves and filter tanks. Chlorinator and chemical feeder lids need a Viton (FKM) ring instead.
