- DIAMOND WOUND, NOT PLEATED - The polypropylene cord is wrapped in a crossing diamond pattern rather than folded into pleats, so dirt loads through the depth of the wall instead of collecting on one outer surface. Wound open at the outside and tighter toward the core, it holds coarse grit near the surface and finer particles deeper in. At 30 micron it is a coarse first stage that keeps flow up on heavy sediment. Change every 3 to 6 months.
- CLEARER WATER FROM EVERY SOURCE - Whether your home runs on municipal tap water or a private well, the cartridge captures the sand, silt, dirt and rust that cloud water and wear out fixtures and appliances. Sediment media works on particles only - for taste and odor add a carbon stage, and for certified contaminant reduction look for cartridges tested to NSF/ANSI standards for those claims.
- FITS THESE PART NUMBERS - Direct replacement for HDSC30 at 30 micron, and the same size and grade as R30-BB, PP30-BB, 155101-43, SPC-45-1030 and RS6. It measures 9.75 by 4.5 in and seats in Campbell large capacity housings and standard Big Blue housings. Finer cartridges like HDSC5 at 5 micron fit the same housing but restrict flow more, so match the number on your old cartridge.
- MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER - Cartridges are maintenance parts, not water treatment plans, and no single one handles everything. Carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor. Sediment media captures sand, silt, dirt and rust. For any specific contaminant you are concerned about, look for a system certified to the NSF/ANSI standard that names it. If you are on a private well, start with a water test.
