Activated carbon block is a blend of fine activated carbon, water, and a suitable binder that is mixed and molded then hardened or extruded into a cartridge filter. Carbon block made of fine coconut shell reduces chlorine, odors and tastes of many organic and chemical compounds, while offering finer filtration of suspended particles and dirt.
This whole house carbon filter is compatible with: Ametek (EP-BB), Bruner (EP-BB), Kleen Plus (EP-BB), KX Technologies (MATRIKX-CTO 03-425-200-975), Pentek (EP-BB, DBC-10EX2, 155548-43), Plymouth Products (EP-BB), USFilter / US Filter (EP-BB), as well as most other brands of water filters.
This filter cartridge fits: American Plumber (W10-PR, W15-PR), Aqua-Pure (AP801), HD-950, GE (GXWH30C, GXWH35F, GXWH-40L, GXWH-30C, HDSFI, GXWH-35F, GNWH-38F), Hydronix (HF45-10BLBK10PR), Pentek 10" Big Blue filter housings (#10 Big Blue), Waterite Excelpure (PL10B30), Whirlpool (WHCF-WHPLBB), most brands' 10" x 4.5" housings (Ace Hardware, Cuno, Flotec, Fulflo, Honeywell, Master Plumber, Omni, Sears, Teledyne, Water Pik).
